About
Hi, my name is Pepijn Peeters. I’m currently living in Amsterdam and studying Composing for Film at the conservatory of Amsterdam.
After playing various instruments for years I decided to become a composer, arranger and producer. I compose music for films and make arrangements in different styles of music.
I started out playing the saxophone in a kids marching band at the age of 7. After a couple of years I lost interest and began playing guitar.
In High School I joined a new funk/soul band. There I found my love for funky music with jazz elements. I started writing horn arrangements for the pop songs we were playing and started playing saxophone again.
After all of that I decided to study music and found ArtEZ MediaMusic. Here I get the possibility to do all kinds of different things: composing for film and games, writing and producing songs, mixing (live) audio and writing music for different ensembles and orchestras.
After a period of working as an assistant/orchestrator for Dutch film composer Matthijs Kieboom, I decided to enroll in the Masters Program of Film Composition in Amsterdam. Currently I’m working on different projects including fiction films and documentaries.
